Professional Standards & Licensing
DeMarque Finance operates under formal credit licensing and the professional standards framework of Australia's peak commercial finance broker body. These structures govern how we handle your personal and credit information and hold us accountable for the quality of our advice and conduct.
Authorised Credit Representative
DeMarque Finance is an authorised Credit Representative (No. 522568) under Australian Credit Licence No. 384704, held by Finsure Finance & Insurance Pty Ltd. Finsure is the regulated licence holder responsible for our compliance with the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 and related credit law.
Finsure is ultimately owned by MA Financial Group Limited (ACN 142 008 428). Where a commercial finance enquiry results in introduction to a loan from MA Financial Group Limited or any of its subsidiaries, we will specifically disclose that ownership relationship to you at the time so the connection is clear.
CAFBA Full Member Brokerage
DeMarque Group Pty Ltd (trading as DeMarque Finance) is a Full Member (Member No. 296914) of the Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia (CAFBA) — the peak industry body for commercial and asset finance brokers in Australia.
- Bound by CAFBA's Code of Professional Practice covering conduct, disclosure and client interests
- Subject to continuing professional development obligations
- Accountable to CAFBA's member discipline framework
- Held to industry-recognised standards for commercial finance advice and structuring
CAFBA membership is not automatic. Brokers must meet entry criteria and maintain ongoing professional obligations to retain full membership status.
The Information We Collect
Depending on the nature of your enquiry, we may collect personal information, credit information and, in limited circumstances, sensitive information where required or permitted by law.
Information Categories
- Personal Information includes information or opinions about an identified individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable
- Credit Information may include identification details, credit liabilities, repayment history, defaults, court proceedings, insolvency information and related creditworthiness information
- Sensitive Information is generally not collected unless required by law, permitted by law or collected with specific consent
Individuals Connected to an Enquiry
This policy applies not only to applicants, but also to other persons connected to a finance enquiry or application, including directors, guarantors, trustees, beneficiaries, partners and other relevant parties where their information is provided to us.
If you provide information about another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that they have been informed that their information may be handled in accordance with this policy.
How We Collect and Use Information
We may collect information directly from you, through brokers, dealers, credit reporting bodies, employers, business or trading partners, other financiers and other parties involved in assessing your enquiry.
- Assessing and processing commercial finance enquiries and applications
- Administering finance offerings and related services
- Complying with legal obligations, including AML/CTF requirements
- Credit scoring, research, planning, securitisation, portfolio analysis and risk management
- Marketing, newsletters and related financial product and service communications
Who We May Share Information With
We may disclose personal information and credit information to related bodies corporate, brokers, credit reporting bodies, agents, advisers, contractors, corporate funders, prospective business purchasers, introducers, advisers, personal representatives and dispute resolution schemes.
Information may also be shared with parties involved in verifying information, administering applications, managing credit, collecting overdue amounts, preventing fraud, or considering guarantees.
When Information May Be Sent Offshore
Some products and services may be supported by contractors or third-party organisations located outside Australia, including in Europe, Asia and North America.
- Overseas disclosure may occur to support the effective operation of products and services
- Where practical, reasonable steps are taken to ensure overseas recipients protect privacy appropriately
- Information sent offshore may not have the same legal protections as under Australian privacy law
- You may not be able to seek redress for a privacy breach occurring outside Australia

Credit reporting bodies used may include Equifax and Illion.

You may request access to personal information or credit information we hold about you, and ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or you have not heard from us within 30 days, you can refer the matter to AFCA at no cost to you. AFCA is an ASIC-approved External Dispute Resolution scheme providing independent, free resolution of financial services complaints.

Consent and Authority
By proceeding with a commercial finance enquiry or application, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information and credit information in the manner outlined on this page. Where you provide information about another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that they have been informed accordingly. As a CAFBA Full Member brokerage operating as an authorised Credit Representative under Australian Credit Licence No. 384704, we handle your information in accordance with our licence obligations and the CAFBA Code of Professional Practice.
Identity Verification and Legal Obligations
Personal information provided may be used for identity verification purposes. We may also be required to collect and handle information to comply with obligations under Australian law, including the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth).
